Fontaine ShuI am a San Diego-based web developer / front-end engineer / design-gineer who graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Visual Arts Media with Computing Emphasis. I entered UCSD as a Computer Science major and had a strong desire to pursue fine arts, too... so I did both :)

I specialize in PHP, standards compliant XHTML and CSS, Ajax and JavaScript. I am very capable at wireframing on-the-fly, using CSS and XHTML to layout new pages when mockups aren't available, and can also quickly and easily turn static mockups and UIs into dynamic web pages that look pixel perfect when compared to their original comps. I've had experience with the Zend PHP Framework and the Kohana PHP Framework, as well as extensive experience with the MooTools JavaScript Framework.

In my free time, I shoot photography, travel, volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, fiddle with APIs, create and maintain websites for non-profits and participate in sports - flag football, tennis, boogie boarding and basketball.

I am currently employed full-time and am not available for side projects or consulting work.

This site is built with the Kohana PHP Framework, 960 Grid System, MooTools JavaScript Framework & the Flickr API.
